Glorious 1953 Queen Elizabeth Coronation Salt & Pepper Binoculars
Gloriously kitsch salt and pepper sets in the shape of binoculars - made to commemorate the 1953 coronation of Elizabeth 11. On the front they have E and R painted in red with regal gold dots all around. And they even have a little crown on top of the focusing dial in the middle. The actual salt and pepper containers come out of the binoculars - for the shaking of condiments..and have little stoppers on the base - for the refilling of condiments. They are 4.5cm tall and 9cm wide and I have them in pink, green or blue. The label on the original cardboard box they came in (found in an old warehouse) says MADE IN ENGLAND. The perfect accompaniment to a night in with the box set of The Crown.
