I found a bundle of these
"The People of Malta 'For Gallantry' 1942 "
George Cross gilt and enamel Badges / Pins in an old warehouse I cleared in Malta years ago.
They commemorate the bravery courage and resilience of the Maltese during World War II.
Still on their original cards, in perfect condition, 5cm wide and with MADE IN ENGLAND impressed on the reverse.
During World War II, Malta, a British colony, was relentlessly bombed by Axis forces because of its strategic location in the Mediterranean. Despite severe shortages and constant attacks, the Maltese people showed extraordinary courage and resilience, helping the Allies maintain control of vital supply routes. I found a bundle of these enamel medals in an old warehouse in Malta that I cleared 20 years ago.
