20 big glowing tortoiseshell lucite plastic hair combs.
An indispensable aid to effective hair management
They are BIG - 5" / 11.5cm long by 2.5" / 5.7cm tall.
The 5" is measured following the curve at the top, if you measure
the top straight across is is 4.5"
They are slightly curved, substantial and can hold the most difficult hair in place.
Each one has a slightly different mottled tortoiseshell design and all of these aare slightly scuffed or have bits of plastic moulding sticking up (easily filed off with a nail file)
I found several boxes of these in an old warehouse I cleared.
On the label on the box is printed EMPIRE MADE - so probably made somewhere between the 1930s and late 1950s.
