1950s Norman Hartnell "Garden Glory" Designs in Womens Day - Chair Backs, Cushion Cover, Runner and Aprons.

In the late 1950s, Norman Hartnell, designer to Hollywood stars and the British Royal Family, also designed embroidery patterns for Women's Day magazine. 
These designs are called (on the instruction sheet) 
"SEED PACKET" DESIGN EMBROIDERY
You could send off a postal order and coupon and get patterns printed on the correct sized material - an "off white rayon" for, variously, Cushion Cover (38" x 20"), Chair backs (19" x 27") Large or small afternoon aprons (patterns on same piece of fabric) and Runners (8" x 14")
I have an assortment of these patterns, and instructions - embroidery colours and stitches to use on different flowers and how to make up the final pieces.
I also have the original pages from the magazine advertising this offer, with the coupon cut out !
I have bundled them up into lots.
