Little plastic "BRAID HOLDERS" - 3cm long and decorated with colourful flowers.
They were fixed around the hair with the elastic bands that are looped onto their backs - see last photo.
Needless to say these elastic bands are not as elastic as they were 70 odd years ago when new but it's easy to fit on some kinder modern fabric covered elastic bands.
The display card is a bit foxed.
