WONDERFUL VINYL is proudly proclaimed on the label and then
"Soft, Cuddly, Washable`"
Because in the early 50s when Combex Creative Plastics moved into making toys (from less exciting things like combs and hair slides) Vinyl was the new hygienic, child friendly and endlessly adaptable material.
And oh, they had fun with it.
Here with have a most appealing white dog with realisitc fur, eyes and tongue. He's 11cm tall.
And has a good loud squeak.
Really unusual to find these toys still in their original packaging.
This one was a salesman's sample.
