Box of a Dozen 1940s Black Mourning Hat Bands

An unused box of Mourning Hat Bands - 12 of them.
Made from the newly invented Nylon Elastic and pointedly proclaiming that the colour is fast in any climate.
This is because the black dye previously used for mourning attire was notoriously unstable and often stained clothes and skin.
2" wide. Traditionally the width of the mourning band denoted your closeness to the deceased.
