In early Norse and some Celtic traditions the harp was a symbol of love and its strings represented a mystic bridge between heaven and earth by which one could ascend to higher levels of love.
Probably why angels are so fond of them.
This 1940s brooch is an elegant hand carefully holding a golden harp.
Perfect present for yourself...to practice self love, obviously, or for all your other favourite people.
The brooch is just over 3.5cm long, made of a gold tone metal and
with a simple but effective catch on the back.
They come on cards printed on which is Made in U.S.A
A lot of these cards are a bit bashed or grubby...if you are buying one as a present let me know and I'll send the cleanest card I have.
