So, I've been informed that these rather unusual spoon/palm tree brooches were given away by the Californian Burger chain In-N-Out in the 1970s
The founder of this Burger Chains favourite film was IT'S A MAD MAD MAD MAD WORLD
So, after he'd passed away his sons planted two crossed palm trees (featured in the film) to remember him by...
These pins were then made and given away in the Burger bars...
All these ones are slightly tarnished but may well clean up with brass polish ( I think they're brass)
Each lovely palm tree/spoon brooch is 6cm long, made of some sort of thin metal and with a suitably sharp pin.
