An unused display card of 1940s  KIRBY BEARD Quality BOB PINS
  "MADE IN ENGLAND ONLY BY KIRBY BEARD & CO LTD  BIRMINGHAM, LONDON AND REDDITCH" . 
The packet is 12cm long.
The  sturdy crimped pins are a very effective 9cm long 
I found these in an old warehouse I cleared.
