Made in a time when polythene, and more specifically ALKATHENE, was being touted as the Housewife's Friend - hypenic, wipe clean, stain resistant, cheap and cheerful. And here we have some very "Dainty" indeed DOYLIES, obviously a new spelling was required for such an innovative New Product.
They are 6" wide, come packs of 3, in either blue or white.
And would make, I think, if you don't happen to need DOYLIES at this time, fantastic Christmas decorations...
I also have 2, rather grubby boxes, as seen in the photo, if anyone would like one to go with their doylies please ask.
