The Cannon Mills Company, founded by James William Cannon in 1887 was an American textile manufacturing company based in North Carolina that by 1914 was the largest towel and sheets manufacturer in the world.
The owner built houses, schools, shops and churches for his workers and even gave them life insurance.
By 1928 the mills were producing 300, 000 towels a day.
And here's a few of them.
They come in pairs and I think they are Salesman's samples as 1 only
have 1 of each colourway.
They all have Cannon labels sewn into one edge.
