I found a box of these in an old warehouse I cleared in Malta and have been told they
were used for strategic planning on big maps during World War 11.

They re made of some sort of metal alloy, are 8.5cm long, 1.5cm tall.
CRESCENT stamped on one side
MADE IN ENGLAND stamped on the other.
They all have a few flakes off their surface coating as you can see in the pictures.
